Tips and Tricks for Preparing Your Ignite Talk
- Start with the script, then add pictures.
- It’s better to have a couple of seconds between slides than to have to rush to fit the information in.
- If there is something in the presentation that will make the audience laugh, give five or ten seconds for them to laugh.
- If there is something very important that requires more than the 15 seconds, you could repeat a slide, perhaps with a change (like added text) on the second slide. Please don’t repeat any slide more than once, or repeat more than one or two of the slides.
Reminder: No selling from the stage. Educate, entertain, enlighten the audience!
